Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface into a large rectangle, about ¼-inch thick. Transfer it onto the prepared baking sheet.
Spread the shredded mozzarella evenly over the dough, leaving about a 1-inch border around the edges. Add sliced pepperoni or olives on top of the cheese for extra flavor.
Using a sharp knife or scissors, cut the dough into thin strips, about ½ inch wide, leaving a 2-inch border around the edge intact. These strips will become the mummy's wrappings.
Twist and arrange the strips over the cheese in a crisscross pattern, mimicking the bandages of a mummy. Press the ends of the strips lightly onto the edge of the dough to secure them.
Brush the exposed edges and strips lightly with olive oil, which will help them crisp up in the oven. Sprinkle a pinch of salt and black pepper over the top for seasoning.
Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, until the crust is golden and crispy and the cheese is bubbling and melted.
Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a couple of minutes. Carefully transfer to a cutting board and slice into pieces.
Serve slices warm, with the twisted strips resembling bandages and the cheese gooey inside, perfect for a spooky Halloween treat!
