Method
- Pour the vanilla pudding mix into a large mixing bowl.
- Add the milk gradually while whisking constantly to combine until the mixture thickens and is smooth, about 2-3 minutes. This creates a creamy, pudding-like consistency.
- Let the pudding sit for a few minutes to set slightly, then give it a quick stir to smooth out any lumps.
- Crush the chocolate cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or by placing them in a plastic bag and gently rolling over with a rolling pin. This will resemble fresh earth.
- Spoon the crushed cookie crumbs into individual serving cups or small jars, filling about halfway to create the 'dirt' layer.
- Spoon the prepared pudding over the cookie crumbs, filling the cups almost to the top. The pudding should be smooth and creamy.
- Decorate the top with mini tombstones by placing them into the pudding, and add gummy worms on top, partially buried in the pudding to create a spooky scene.
- Optional: Chill the cups in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and the pudding to firm up slightly.
Notes
Ensure the cookie crumbs are fine for a realistic earth look. Using small decorative tombstones adds a fun, spooky element. Adjust the number of gummy worms and tombstones based on your presentation preference.
